Who has never leapt the leap from the lightswitch to the bed?
First we get a running start and hope we don't hit our head.
Everybody leaps the leap for a year or maybe more,
Wondering, fearing every squeak beyond the closet door.
If you've never leapt the leap for things that go unsaid,
You've never truly lived in fear of what lies under the bed.
